Single-use systems (SUS) support process intensification, allowing cleanroom infrastructures to adopt smaller footprints while reducing water and energy consumption. However, a common challenge in mobile SUS, such as bioreactors and mixers, is the unsanitary design of the mounting brackets and the frequent recalibrations needed for strain gauge load cells. Eilersen, with its alternative capacitive load cell technology, completely circumvents these challenges and offers a simple upgrade to mobile SUS.

Retrofit kits are available for all mobile totes, enabling seamless upgrades from strain gauge systems. With IP68-rated stainless steel construction, Eilersen load cells meet strict cleanroom standards while boosting uptime and reducing maintenance requirements. Eilersen load cells enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and simplify operations, making them ideal for modern bioprocessing. 

Improving Uptime

Eilersen load cells are pre-calibrated at our Danish factory and the complete weighing system, including instrumentation, is preconfigured and tested for at least 24 hours to ensure operational efficiency and a smooth installation.

As the Eilersen load cells are resistant to sideloads and overloads, they do not require frequent recalibration. Eilersen load cells enable easy on-site load cell cable replacement and are not dependent on predefined load cell cable lengths. Load cell cables can be replaced individually if damaged, without compromising the system integrity. Additionally, digital capacitive load cells enable diagnostics on individual load cells, meaning that if a problem arises, it is fast and easy to identify and fix the issue, thus minimizing downtime.
